Vacation on Conesus Lake!!

T

Several months ago, we committed to two weeks vacation in July. We really wanted to bring the kids to Consesus Lake this summer, since it was a huge part of our childhood. Every 3rd of July on the lake, they celebrate by passing out flares to the homeowners. Everyone lights the flares at 10pm; its pretty impressive! Mark's parents have a small cottage on the lake and a really nice boat...we are enjoying ourselves immensely. It feels really sweet to be away with with my family; we are thankful.

Bella looks wonderful! So glad you've got this time away!

We sang this hymn in church this morning and I wanted to share it. Am still here praying!
"My Hope is Built on Nothing Less"
by Edward Mote, 1797-1874

1. My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus' blood and righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus' name.
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand.

2. When darkness veils His lovely face,
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale
My anchor holds within the veil.
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand.

3. His oath, His covenant, and blood
Support me in the whelming flood;
When every earthly prop gives way,
He then is all my Hope and Stay.
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand.

4. When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh, may I then in Him be found,
Clothed in His righteousness alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne!
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand.

Stopping by to let you know I'm still here praying.
Romans 5:1-2 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
